RML Roofing Services is responsible for the personal information collected through this website. You can contact us at Unit 11, Dumfries, DG2 7DA, by email at info@rmlroofingservices.co.uk or by phone on 07759 678071.

When you send an enquiry through our contact form, we collect:

• your name, phone number and email address
• the service you need and the area you’re in
• anything you tell us in your message

If you call, email or WhatsApp us, we keep the details you give us and any photos you send. When we quote for or carry out work, we also keep the property address, job details, photos of the work and payment records.

Like most websites, our hosting provider automatically records basic technical information such as your IP address and browser type, to keep the site running securely.

We use your information to:

• reply to your enquiry and arrange a survey
• prepare quotes and carry out the work you ask for
• honour our workmanship guarantee
• keep the financial records the law requires

We rely on your request for a quote and our contract with you to do this, along with our legal obligations and our legitimate interest in running the business. We never use your details for marketing, and we never sell them.

We only share your information with the services we need to run the business:

• Vercel, which hosts this website and provides our visitor statistics
• Supabase, which stores enquiries sent through the contact form. This database is shared with our sister company, RML Ground Maintenance, and each enquiry is tagged with the business it was sent to.
• WhatsApp, if you choose to message us there
• OpenStreetMap, which provides the map on our website and can see your IP address when the map loads

Some of these providers may process data outside the UK. Where they do, they use legal safeguards such as standard contractual clauses. We’ll also share information if the law requires us to.

If an enquiry doesn’t lead to any work, we delete it within two years. If we do work for you, we keep your records for as long as our guarantee applies, and financial records for six years, as HMRC requires.

This website doesn’t use cookies. We use Vercel Web Analytics to count visits and see which pages are popular. It doesn’t use cookies or identify you personally, and the data is anonymised and aggregated.

Under UK data protection law, you have the right to:

• ask for a copy of the information we hold about you
• ask us to correct anything that’s wrong
• ask us to delete your information
• object to or ask us to limit how we use it
