Roofers covering Gatehouse of Fleet, a planned Georgian town in the Fleet valley, around 34 miles from Dumfries.
Roofing in Gatehouse of Fleet
Gatehouse of Fleet was laid out as a planned town, and its centre is a consistent run of late eighteenth and early nineteenth-century buildings, much of it in a conservation area and under natural slate. As at Moffat and Thornhill, that consistency is the point: a repair that doesn't match reads badly against the buildings on either side, so matching slate and keeping the original detailing is part of doing the job properly here.
The town sits in the sheltered Fleet valley, which spares it the worst of the coastal wind, but the rainfall running off the surrounding hills keeps gutters, valleys and downpipes working hard. We cover Gatehouse and out towards Anwoth, Twynholm and the Fleet valley properties for slate repairs, re-roofing, chimney and lead work, guttering and roofline work.

Why choose RML Roofing in Gatehouse of Fleet
A roof only gets looked at properly when something has already gone wrong, and most of what separates a repair that lasts twenty years from one that fails next winter is invisible from the ground. That is why choosing the right roofer matters more than the quote. Here is what you get from us on every job we take on in Gatehouse of Fleet.
Public liability insured
We hold public liability insurance for the work we carry out, and we're happy to show you a copy of our certificate before any work begins.
Honest advice, with photos
We get up on the roof, find the actual cause and show you photos of what we've found. If a repair will do the job, we won't sell you a new roof.
Fixed price, agreed upfront
A clear written quote before any work starts. The price we agree is the price you pay, and if anything unexpected comes up, we’ll talk to you before any extra work is done.
10-year guarantee
From a single slipped slate to a full re-roof, all our roofing work comes with a 10-year workmanship guarantee, explained before we start.
